Team Fortress 2 has been one of my all time favorite games (I’ve clocked over 2000 hours into it), and this mod project was a weekend experiment that blew up in popularity. I stopped working on it after a year because of my day job commitments and the amount of content updates TF2 keeps getting. So I gave away my source files for the mod and created a Google Group for it. 9 years later, the mod along with the 50+ spinoffs have generated over a hundred thousand downloads and it is still going on today. This shows the power of community and I feel proud and humbled to be a part of it.
